National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is one of the few academic institutions in Greece that has its own archaeological museum belonging to the Faculty of Philosophy. The archaeological collection of the museum was recently enriched with the donation of approximately 855 antiquities from the collection of Eleni Martinou, covering a period of time from the early Cycladic civilization to Byzantine times. Students now have the opportunity to study the antiquities of important cultures right next to the university auditoriums.
